R24, Rustenburg, near Olifantsnek Dam

Brauhaus am Damm - Private brewery and Restaurant

Brauhaus am Damm's corporate identity conveys who and what they are! The name 'Brauhaus' indicates a brewing operation of proud German tradition, while 'Am Damm' points to its prime location overlooking the Olifantsnek dam, encircled by the splendour of the Magaliesberg mountain. Brauhaus am Damm is truly "The Place to Be(er)!".

Brauhaus am Damm is conveniently situated on the R24 linking Gauteng with Rustenburg and Sun City, 14km south of Rustenburg and only about an hours drive, through picturesque surroundings, from Johannesburg and Pretoria.

The legend lives on! Through their motto "Accomplishment through passion", Brauhaus continues to produce top quality German beers with the same "SALM brewery" that was once the legendary "Farmers' Bräuhaus" near Hattingspruit in Kwazulu-Natal.

All their beers are strictly brewed according to the Bavarian "Reinheitsgebot" of 1516 stating that only water, barley malt, hops and yeast will be used to produce their beers. The finest ingredients are imported from Germany and are used in the brewing process in the copper brew house, which is perfectly situated in the main dining area.

Brauhaus traditional lager beers are available on tap in their freshest form that is directly from their cellar. In order to retain all the goodness, their beers are not filtered, nor pasteurized.
